Like it like it! I always ask for a window seat when I fly, even when I am flying at NIGHT from Los Angeles to Taipei. I can just stare outside for hours and not watch any of the in-flight movies. Even better at day time. Here is a shot I took last year returning to Los Angeles from Taipei. The flight just took off and passing Danshui overlooking Taipei.

@Howard F.: i like night flights. feels really quiet and alone in the world (well, besides the hundreds of other passengers). and if u look up (u have to plaster ur face to the window, and hold the blanket/jacket over ur head to cut out reflections), u see so many stars! and damn close too. ah... i miss night flights. anticipating the one home on 19 nov (09)!
