Emerging Red

Posted by Em!ly Ng (Residing in: Adelaide, Australia | Home:, Singapore) on 16 November 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Black bg due to strong sunlight (lowered EV).

These are artificial flowers and weren't at their usual spot at the stair-way landing cos my house was being painted then.

Updated every Friday.

Wow, excellent lighting! I like the contrast between the bright colours of the flowers and the dark background.

Beautifully lit.
Are the chrysanthemums made of wood shavings?

@grouser: they're actually light green, so i dont they're meant to be chrysanthemums.

Striking detail and colour contrasts, Emily. The background effect makes this a very individual piece of work.

Soo crafty--the yellow ones really loo like real flowers. Some water droplets there and I'd be duped!

I agree with Peter, they do look strange; almost melancholy in a way - the lighting also adds to this effect.
